Shimano Tallus IGFA (International Game Fish Association) trolling rods were created for 50-lb., 80-lb. and 130-lb. line class ratings. These world-class saltwater rods are built utilizing the most advanced engineering technology available combined with a close partnership between Shimano's field testers, local guides, dealers and customers. 

Tallus IGFA rods allows anglers to customize their purchases by offering either the tip section without the AFTCO Unibutt or the entire rod, including the butt. Offering both options means anglers who already own AFTCO butts now have the flexibility to use Tallus IGFA tips.

The black and silver finished roller guides in the AFTCO Wind-On guide set are specifically designed to accommodate the knots and connections of wind-on leaders. This guide set is featured on the new Tallus IGFA series 50lb rod and has the same knot clearance as the AFTCO Big Foot roller guide, but in a more compact frame.

These durable, large framed guides provide for large knot clearance and are fearured on Tallus IGFA 80 and 130lb rods. These black and silver finished rollers with extra large bearings are extremely tough, provide unequalled knot clearance and are built to endure the heaviest of line classes. For lasting lubrication and protection, the exclusive AFTCO Aftcote Teflon dry film coating is bonded to all bearings. The oversized feet are designed to match the contours of the rod blank and grip with exceptional strength.

These oversized black and silver finished roller tip guides with extra large bearings are extremely tough, offer unequalled knot clearance and are built to endure the heaviest of line classes. For lasting lubrication and protection, the exclusive AFTCO Aftcote Teflon dry film coating is bonded to the bearing.

•AFTCO Storabutt

The AFTCO Storabutt is a handle and reel seat combination designed especially for big game anglers who use curved butts. The reel seat is ferruled at both ends to permit removal of the butt section of your rod without having to also remove your reel. This makes it easier to store curved butts, especially on boats where storage is an issue.

•AFTCO Unibutt

The one piece aluminum Unibutt is precision machined so the pin-plug, gimbal, fixed hood and ferrule are in perfect alignment with the guides. A Teflon O-ring at the ferrule assures a snug fit, keeps out moisture and prevents corrosion. The hoods are custom anodized in Shimano Tiagra gold and the curved Unibutt increases your leverage by as much as 30% while in a fighting chair.
