A redesigned classic, the Penn Slammer Rod has been upgraded both cosmetically as well as functionally for improved performance and durability. Formerly, these rods featured a white, heavy-walled glass blank which was more akin to a broomstick than a fishing rod. The standard, redesigned Slammer rods feature a charcoal colored, lightweight, but powerful glass blank.

Anglers will notice immediately, a more user-friendly, faster tapered blank that provides for improved leverage, fish-fighting power, as well as a much better feel.
